    Turku University of Applied Sciences (Turku UAS) is one of Finland’s largest universities of applied sciences, with a strong focus on turning academic knowledge into professional capability. Based in Southwest Finland, it combines degree education with applied research, development and innovation, giving students regular opportunities to solve practical challenges with companies, public organisations and multidisciplinary project teams.

    Eligibility

    Admission Requirements

    IELTS Academic: 6.0 overall where an English certificate is required
    TOEFL iBT: 60 for tests before 21 January 2026; 3.5 on the new scale for later tests
    PTE Academic: 55 overall
    Cambridge / TELC: C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency 169; TELC English B2–C1 at minimum B2

    Graduate Programmes: A suitable Bachelor’s or other eligible higher-education degree is required. UAS Master’s entry also requires at least 24 months of relevant work experience gained after the qualifying degree; programme-specific field criteria apply.

    Undergraduate Entry for Bangladeshi Applicants: HSC, Alim or another qualification can provide general eligibility if it grants higher-education access in Bangladesh. Bangladeshi school qualifications are not in Finland’s standard certificate-selection group, so applicants commonly use SAT or another programme-specific route. The current SAT minimum is 400 in Reading and Writing and 400 in Math; SAT selection needs no separate English certificate.

    Research / PhD Programmes: Turku UAS does not award doctoral degrees; it offers Bachelor’s and UAS Master’s degrees alongside extensive applied RDI activity. Work Experience: UAS Master’s admission normally requires at least 24 months of relevant post-degree work; field and cut-off dates are programme-specific.

    GMAT / GRE: Used in selected Master’s admissions, including several routes for applicants with degrees from outside Finland; other programmes may use assignments or interviews.

    Application Documents: Passport, eligible qualification certificate, transcripts, official translations where needed, and route-specific English/test evidence. Master’s offers remain conditional until required work certificates are checked.

    Application Portal & Fees: Apply through Studyinfo. Bangladeshi applicants normally pay the €100 statutory application fee within seven days unless exempt. English-taught Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes starting in 2026 or later cost €12,000 per academic year.

    Autumn Joint Application – January 2027 Start: 31 August–10 September 2026, closing 3:00 pm Finnish time.

    Spring Joint Application – Autumn Start: Applicants should monitor the official application page and Studyinfo for the 2027 dates.

    Separate / Rolling Applications: Programme-specific and may close once places are filled, even before the published final date.

    Open UAS / Path Studies: Separate non-degree routes; Bangladesh-based applicants should not treat path admission as a standard degree-based residence-permit route.

    Continuing YKI Scholarship Progression
    Eligibility: Eligible continuing students meeting the published YKI A2, B1 or B2 progression stages
    Amount: Up to one scholarship per academic year when the relevant conditions are met

    Turku UAS’s funding model combines a €1,000 early-payment discount with continuing YKI scholarships that reward Finnish-language development. No general admission-stage merit tuition waiver is currently published for new international degree students.
