Academic Requirements
School-Leaving Requirement (Main)
- General UAS eligibility applies: an overseas qualification giving access to higher education in the awarding country, or an eligible higher-education degree completed outside Finland.
- For the January 2027 certificates + online interview route, the qualifying degree must also have been completed in one of Turku UAS’s listed countries.

General eligibility alone does not guarantee eligibility for this selection method; Turku UAS verifies the qualification, English evidence, documents and interview.

Standardized Test Requirement
SAT or OMPT is not required for this route. Eligible applicants are invited to the online interview in the order complete applications are received; places are limited.

Notes
- Accepted English evidence includes IELTS Academic 6.0 band, PTE Academic 55 and TOEFL iBT 60 for tests before 21 January 2026, or 3.5 for tests taken on or after that date. No separate IELTS minimum per band is published.
- Other accepted evidence includes Cambridge C1/C2 169, TELC B2, Oxford ELLT Global 6.0, YKI English Grade 4 and specified English-medium qualifications completed in approved countries.

Scholarships
Eligible fee-paying students can receive a EUR 1,000 first-year early-bird reduction by accepting the offer within 14 days and paying within 30 days. Continuing fee-paying students may also qualify for the Finnish-language YKI scholarship/refund scheme, subject to current conditions.

- Apply ASAP. The January Separate Application runs from 4 May 2026 until places are filled or 15 August 2026; offers must be accepted by 15 October 2026 at 3 pm Finnish time.
- Bangladesh-issued qualifications are not eligible for this certificates + online interview route; review SAT/OMPT rolling admission where suitable.
- The 240-ECTS degree includes basic, professional and optional studies, a 30-ECTS internship and a 15-ECTS thesis; the English-language specialization is Sustainable Design Engineering.
- Bangladeshi students normally apply for a Finnish student residence permit through Enter Finland and complete identification via the competent Finland/VFS service in New Delhi. Migri currently requires EUR 9,600 for first-year living costs, plus unpaid tuition where applicable and valid insurance.
