Admission Requirements

IELTS Academic: 5.5 overall or equivalent for degree and postgraduate programmes; 4.0 for the business foundation programme

TOEFL: An equivalent qualification may be accepted; no fixed university-wide score is published

PTE Academic: No fixed university-wide minimum is published on the current admissions page

Duolingo English Test: Not listed as a standard test on the current official admissions page

Undergraduate Entry for Bangladeshi Applicants: Authenticated SSC and HSC, Alim or another recognised 12-year school-leaving qualification, with final certificates and marksheets, are normally required. Provisional results are not accepted. English, Mathematics and the overall result should each reach at least 50% in both school qualifications. Eligibility is assessed against the chosen programme.

Bangladesh Diploma Restriction: WIU states that a Diploma of Associate Engineer or Diploma in Engineering is not treated as equivalent to an A-level or general school-leaving certificate for admission to its business foundation and Bachelor’s programmes. Applicants should not rely on these diplomas alone for undergraduate eligibility.

Graduate / Postgraduate Programmes: Applicants normally submit a recognised degree certificate based on at least three years of higher education and authenticated transcripts for every completed semester. Subject relevance and additional requirements are programme-specific; the Executive MBA also requires evidence of at least three years of service.

Entrance Examination / Interview: Admission requires eligibility assessment and successful completion of the University’s entrance process. The current portal identifies a mandatory interview covering motivation and suitability; English and Mathematics preparation may also be reviewed according to the programme.

Foundation Consideration: Applicants who do not demonstrate the required English level or Mathematics competence may be required to complete the relevant WIU foundation programme before progressing to a Bachelor’s or postgraduate programme.

Application Documents: The application normally includes the completed form, passport photo and signature pages, authenticated academic certificates and marksheets, English evidence and sponsor details. Scans may be used during assessment, but original final documents are required for enrolment.

Application Portal & Fees: International applicants apply through the WIU admissions portal. The live portal currently lists a €100 non-refundable application fee and a €300 registration fee. The latest published international schedule lists standard undergraduate tuition at €6,000 per academic year; Master’s fees vary by programme structure. The issued invoice and acceptance documents remain controlling.

Application Deadlines

September Intake: WIU’s current public admissions pages do not state one university-wide final deadline. Applications are subject to programme capacity and country quotas, so Bangladeshi applicants should apply ASAP and confirm that admission and visa timelines remain practical.

February Intake: Selected international programmes admit students for the spring semester. The next general deadline is not currently published; applicants should confirm programme availability in the admissions portal and begin as early as possible.

Visa-Support Timeline: A Final Acceptance Letter requires payment of the registration fee and tuition for the first two semesters, together with WIU’s review of the visa-document package. Bangladeshi applicants should allow sufficient time for the Hungarian visa process handled through New Delhi.

Capacity & Deferral: The admissions portal states that limited country quotas may result in an otherwise eligible applicant being deferred to the next available intake. Early, complete submission is therefore important, but admission or visa issuance is not guaranteed.
