Graduate Entry for Bangladeshi Applicants: UCC normally requires a Bachelor’s degree plus a two-year Master’s qualification. A four-year Bachelor’s degree from the University of Dhaka or BUET may also be considered; programme-specific 2H2 or 2H1 standards apply.

Undergraduate Entry for Bangladeshi Applicants: UCC does not publish a Bangladesh-specific grade table for direct entry. HSC or Intermediate qualifications are assessed case by case against Irish Leaving Certificate equivalence, and an approved Foundation Year may be required.

Research / PhD Programmes: PhD applicants normally need a relevant 2H1 honours degree, while Master by Research applicants normally need a 2H2. A prospective UCC supervisor must be secured before applying.

Work Experience: Programme-dependent; required or preferred for selected professional, management, healthcare, and executive programmes.

GMAT / GRE: Not a general UCC requirement; submit only where the individual programme specifically requests it.

Personal Statement & References: Commonly required for postgraduate applications, together with a CV, passport copy, semester-wise transcripts, graduation certificates, English evidence, and programme-specific documents.

Application Portal & Fees: International applicants apply through UCC Apply. A non-refundable €50 fee applies to most programmes, while Professional Master of Education applications cost €100. Calendar

    Application Deadlines

Postgraduate Taught – September: Most applications are assessed on a rolling basis until places are filled. Many 2026 non-EU course pages use 15 June as the latest closing date, but the individual programme page always applies.

Postgraduate Taught – Other Intakes: Selected programmes may begin in January or at another point in the year. Availability and closing dates are programme-specific, so early application is advised.

Undergraduate / Foundation Entry: Non-EU undergraduate applications for 2026/27 opened on 1 December 2025 and generally closed on 31 May 2026. Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Applied Psychology, and Foundation providers follow separate timelines.
