    About Technological University Dublin

    Technological University Dublin (TU Dublin) is Ireland’s first technological university and one of its largest higher education institutions. Established in 2019 from three long-standing Dublin institutions, it brings more than 130 years of professional and technological education into a modern university with over 27,000 students across five campuses.

    TU Dublin combines academic study with practical, employer-informed learning across business, computing, engineering, the built environment, sciences, health, creative arts and hospitality. Its pathways extend from foundation and apprenticeship study to honours degrees, Master’s programmes and research.     Eligibility

    Admission Requirements

    IELTS Academic: 6.0 overall, with no band below 6.0
    TOEFL iBT: 80 overall, with 21 in Writing and 18 in each other band for tests before 21 January 2026; from that date, 4.5 overall, 4.5 in Writing and 4.0 in each other band
    PTE Academic: 65 overall
    Duolingo English Test: 120 overall, with at least 110 in each band

    Graduate Programmes: A four-year Honours Bachelor’s degree or Postgraduate Diploma equivalent to Irish NFQ Level 8 is normally required. For Bangladesh, a 2:2-equivalent course generally requires 60% or GPA 3.0; a 2:1 course normally requires 70% or GPA 3.4.

    Undergraduate Entry for Bangladeshi Applicants: HSC or Alim alone is insufficient for direct Level 8 entry. Applicants normally need this qualification plus a recognised foundation with relevant subjects and 60–65%, or a relevant three-year Polytechnic Diploma with 60%, assessed case by case.

    Research / PhD Programmes: Normally require a relevant honours or Master’s qualification, a suitable proposal and School or supervisor approval.

    Work Experience: Required or preferred only for selected professional, executive and specialist programmes.

    GMAT / GRE: Not generally required unless the individual programme specifically requests it.

    Application Documents: Passport, award certificate, year-by-year transcripts, translations where required, English evidence, CV and statement of purpose. Some courses require references, a portfolio or further evidence.

    Application Portal & Fees: Apply through the non-EU link on the relevant course page. A €50 application fee applies. International tuition starts from €11,650 per year and is course-specific. To secure a place, applicants normally pay 50% of the annual fee or €6,000, whichever is greater.

    Undergraduate – September: For September entry, prepare early and apply when the cycle opens.

    Postgraduate Taught – September: For September entry, prepare early and apply when the cycle opens.

    January / Spring Entry: Available for selected courses only. Follow the programme page and apply ASAP once the next cycle opens.

    Foundation / Research Entry: Foundation pathways may start in September or January; research timing depends on School and supervisor approval. Allow enough time for admission, payment and visa preparation.
