    Eligibility

    Academic Requirements

    School-Leaving Requirement (Main)

    • Completion of the Bangladesh HSC, Alim or another recognised high-school qualification comparable to Irish NFQ Level 4 or above
    • TU Dublin does not publish a fixed HSC, Alim or Intermediate percentage for admission to TU697; academic suitability and the intended undergraduate pathway are assessed individually

    Note

Bangladesh HSC or Alim alone does not meet TU Dublin’s standard direct-entry requirement for a Level 8 degree. Progression requires successful foundation completion and the destination school’s stated academic conditions.

    Tests

    Standardized Test Requirement

No SAT, ACT, GMAT, GRE or other additional standardized admission test is listed for this programme.

    Notes

    • TU Dublin requires IELTS 5.0 overall, with no band below 5.0, or an accepted equivalent for its international foundation programmes. Results must be from one sitting and normally issued within two years of commencement.
    • TU Dublin’s comparison table aligns IELTS 5.0 with TOEFL iBT 45, PTE 55 and Duolingo 90. The TOEFL 45 figure uses the scale applicable before 21 January 2026; revised-scale applicants should obtain written confirmation.
    Waiver: Not Available.

    Funding

    Scholarships

No programme-specific scholarship or automatic international fee reduction is published for TU697. TU Dublin Foundation awards are generally cohort-specific and offered after registration, so applicants should budget for the full programme fee.

    Remarks & Additional Information

    • Apply ASAP to allow time for admission, fee payment and Irish study visa preparation.
    • The published total fee is €12,500 and the non-refundable application fee is €50. TU Dublin normally requires at least 50% of tuition to secure a place, subject to the offer.
    • TU697 is a one-year, 60-ECTS Level 6 Special Purpose Award with 40 places at the Aungier Street campus.
    • Students take academic English, study skills and pathway modules. Progression requires passing all modules and meeting the destination degree’s rules; no further IELTS is normally required after successful completion.
    • This is a foundation award, not a Bachelor’s degree. Destination-degree tuition and duration apply separately, while admission, progression and Irish study visa decisions remain authority-controlled.
