    Eligibility

    Admission Requirements

IELTS Academic: Commonly 6.0 overall, with no band below 5.5
TOEFL iBT: 80 overall for selected postgraduate programmes
PTE Academic: 55 overall for selected postgraduate programmes
Duolingo English Test: 105 overall; selected Master’s programmes may also require at least 100 in each band

Graduate Programmes: A recognised Bachelor’s degree equivalent to Irish NFQ Level 8 is normally required, commonly at 2:2 standard. The required subject background depends on the selected Master’s programme; some routes are designed for non-business graduates.

Undergraduate Entry for Bangladeshi Applicants: HSC, Alim, or equivalent qualifications are assessed individually through international qualification comparison. Applicants must meet the relevant NFQ entry standard, and the Level 6 Access programme may be appropriate where direct Bachelor’s entry is not confirmed.

Access & Progression: The Level 6 Certificate in Access Studies for Higher Education with Business provides a preparatory route towards eligible Level 7 and higher programmes at IBAT Dublin and ATU, subject to progression conditions.

Mature Entry / RPL: Applicants aged 23 or over and candidates with relevant prior learning may be considered through mature entry or Recognition of Prior Learning, with supporting evidence assessed case by case.

GMAT / GRE: No general GMAT or GRE requirement is published. Applicants should follow any additional requirement stated on the individual programme page or offer letter.

Application Documents: Visa-required applicants should prepare the completed application form, passport copy, academic certificates and transcripts, valid English evidence, CV or personal statement where requested, and any programme-specific documents.

Application Route & Fees: Bangladeshi visa-required applicants apply through an IBAT-authorised education agent. Published non-EU Access tuition is €6,500 plus €130 medical insurance (€6,630 total), before any applicable 3.5% learner-protection charge. Degree and Master’s fees must be confirmed in the current offer.

    Calendar

    Application Deadlines

Higher Education – September: Overseas applications for Access, Level 7, Level 8, and Level 9 programmes closed by the end of May because of visa-processing timelines and application volume.

Future Higher Education Intakes: IBAT asks overseas applicants to contact Admissions for the next available start. Dates and closing points are programme-specific and may change once capacity is reached.

English Language Entry: General English courses normally offer weekly Monday starts, subject to level, availability, immigration eligibility, and the applicable study schedule.

Planning from Bangladesh: Apply as soon as the next intake is confirmed. IBAT advises visa-required students to allow up to four months for visa preparation and processing, tuition payment, insurance, and accommodation.
