    Honours Degree Requirement (Main)

    • A recognised primary honours bachelor’s degree assessed as equivalent to an Irish NFQ Level 8 award, normally at H2.2 standard or above, in Mechanical and/or Manufacturing Engineering
    • DCU does not publish a fixed CGPA for Bangladeshi degrees; academic level, grading, subject content and awarding institution are assessed case by case

    Notes

    • These are DCU’s current postgraduate English standards for the Faculty of Engineering and Computing. Test results must be achieved in one sitting and issued within two years before the programme start date.
    • TOEFL note: The 92 score uses the 0–120 scale. DCU also publishes 4.5 overall with at least 4.5 in each band for the revised scale; TOEFL Home Edition is not accepted.

    Scholarships

    Eligible full-time non-EU applicants are automatically considered for the Faculty of Engineering & Computing International Scholarship. Successful recipients receive a €5,000 tuition-fee reduction; the award is competitive and only selected applicants are notified.

    • Apply ASAP so admission, fee payment and Irish study visa preparation can be completed in time.
    • The current non-EU tuition fee is €25,000. A €50 application fee applies, and successful applicants normally pay a €500 deposit when accepting an offer.
    • September entrants may select Advanced Manufacturing, Biomedical Engineering, Simulation-Driven Design, or Sustainable Systems and Energy; January intake is currently general entry only.
    • Prepare complete degree transcripts, certified translations where required, English evidence, statement of purpose, references and CV before submission.
