Academic Requirements
Secondary-School Requirement (Main)
- A recognised secondary-school qualification showing completion of 12 years of education is required; Bangladeshi applicants normally submit SSC and HSC, Alim or an accepted equivalent
- METU publishes an admission benchmark above 50% in each school year and in the final examination, together with a high-school mathematics grade above 60%

Tests
Standardized Test Requirement
No SAT or ACT is listed. Applicants complete a 30-minute online mathematics test containing 10 multiple-choice questions as part of the admission interview; pen, paper and a calculator may be used.

- Intermediate English is required. METU publishes IELTS 5.5+, TOEFL iBT 69+ and Cambridge FCE/CAE; separate minimum band scores are not stated.
- A formal certificate is not compulsory, but every applicant must demonstrate sufficient English during the online interview. A certificate alone does not secure direct entry.

Funding
Scholarships
No programme-specific scholarship is guaranteed. METU may select strong new applicants for its Excellence Award, which provides a 15% tuition reduction for the first year based on academic results, English ability and interview performance. Other discounts have separate eligibility rules, deadlines and exclusions.

- Apply ASAP so admission, fee payment and Irish study visa preparation can be completed in time.
- Tuition is EUR 3,500/semester and two semesters’ tuition, currently EUR 7,000, is required. The programme totals 210 ECTS, including a 20-credit final-semester internship and thesis.
- Bangladesh: pay the EUR 200 non-refundable registration fee, complete the interview and mathematics test, then settle the mandatory invoices stated after acceptance. D-visa and residence-permit decisions remain authority-controlled.
