School-Leaving Requirement (Main)
- A foreign non-Finnish qualification that gives access to higher education in the awarding country is required; a foreign higher-education degree is also acceptable.
- Submit official academic documents with the application. Documents not in Finnish, Swedish or English require an official translation.

Standardized Test Requirement
SAT: minimum 500 in Evidence-Based Reading and Writing and 500 in Math. ACT: minimum 18 Math, 37 English + Reading and 19 composite. Official scores must be electronically available to Metropolia when applying.

- Metropolia codes: SAT 6953; ACT 8299. Scores from different test dates cannot be combined, and official results must remain electronically verifiable.

Funding
Scholarships
SAT/ACT-selected tuition-fee-paying students may receive a EUR 1,000 Early Bird reduction by accepting the offer within 14 days and paying by Metropolia’s deadline. Bachelor’s students may later earn Finnish-language scholarships of EUR 1,000, EUR 2,000 and EUR 3,000 by meeting the published course/YKI conditions.

- Deadline: ASAP. The latest published SAT/ACT rolling round for Spring 2027 ran 1 April–31 July 2026 and is now closed; confirm the next programme-specific round in Studyinfo.
- Bangladesh-issued qualifications can be considered if they provide access to higher education; no Bangladesh-specific GPA threshold is published.
- The 240-ECTS degree offers Software Engineering and Smart IoT Systems majors. Major placement follows orientation studies and depends on academic performance, demand and capacity.
