    Bachelor’s Requirement (Main)

    • A Law degree, or an interdisciplinary degree in which law formed a major part of the programme
    • At least an upper second class honours (2:1) degree or an equivalent international qualification (65%)

    Eligible non-EU offer-holders may apply for the UCD Global Excellence Scholarship and may also be considered for other UCD international or School of Law funding, subject to programme eligibility, competition, deadlines and available awards.

    • UCD lists programme code B294 as LLM General. Its flexible structure allows students to select from a broad range of graduate law modules and shape their studies across public and private law, subject to module availability and programme rules.
    • Applicants should submit official transcripts, a focused personal statement and two referees. Where an applicant has been employed for more than two years, one referee should normally be the employer.
    • Successful applicants normally accept the offer online and pay a non-refundable deposit of €500, or the amount stated in the Letter of Acceptance, within 15 working days of the offer LoA.
    • International applicants should apply early and allow sufficient time for financial preparation, accommodation planning and the Irish long-stay study visa process. Admission and visa decisions are made solely by the relevant authorities.
