Academic Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree Requirement (Main)
- A completed Bachelor’s degree or equivalent must be comparable to a Danish Bachelor’s degree in both level and duration (180 ECTS)
- The degree must cover at least 70 ECTS in specified subjects: 30 ECTS in mathematical analysis (20 ECTS mathematical analysis + 10 ECTS linear algebra), 20 ECTS in mathematical statistics and 20 ECTS in probability theory

- AU requires English proficiency comparable to Danish upper-secondary English B level. IELTS Academic requires 6.5 band overall with no band below 6.0; TOEFL iBT follows the score scale applicable to the test date.
- For test-based evidence, AU accepts IELTS, TOEFL iBT and specified Cambridge English Qualifications. Pearson PTE and Duolingo English Test are not accepted.

Scholarships
Tuition-liable Bangladeshi applicants are automatically considered for Aarhus University’s limited Danish State Scholarships when applying by the relevant deadline. Natural Sciences offers a limited number of 100% tuition-fee waivers to the most qualified applicants. No separate scholarship application is required, and awards are not guaranteed.

- Apply ASAP. Bangladeshi/non-EU applicants must apply by 15 January for the August/September intake; for summer 2027, English evidence is also due by 15 January.
- The 2026/27 tuition fee is EUR 17,300/year. The EUR 150 non-EU application fee covers up to three Aarhus University applications.
- Choose at least two 30-ECTS specialisations: Applied Statistics, Theoretical Statistics and Probability Theory. The 120-ECTS degree includes a 30-ECTS Master’s thesis.
