    Eligibility

    Academic Requirements

    Former Academic Requirement (Programme Closed)

    • AU’s published legacy entry profile requires a completed Bachelor’s degree or equivalent comparable to a Danish Bachelor’s degree in level and duration, normally 180 ECTS.
    • Specific academic profile: either 90 ECTS in Natural Sciences, or 60 ECTS in Science Studies plus 30 ECTS in Natural Sciences.

    Note

The programme is closed to new admission. The ranking criteria shown on AU’s legacy page therefore do not create a current application opportunity.

    Tests

    Standardized Test Requirement

No GRE, GMAT, SAT or other standardized admission test is published for this MSc. The former selection framework used degree grades and relevant academic subject coverage.

    Notes

    • AU’s current general English standard is equivalent to Danish English B: IELTS Academic 6.5 band overall with at least 6.0 band in each band. TOEFL iBT and specified Cambridge qualifications are also accepted.
    • AU does not accept PTE Academic or Duolingo. IELTS and TOEFL must normally be no more than two years old when the application portal opens. These scores are shown for reference because Science Studies is not open to new applicants.
Waiver: Only under AU’s published qualification-based exemptions. An English-taught degree completed in Bangladesh does not by itself create an exemption.

    Funding

    Scholarships

Science Studies is not open to new students, so there is no current programme-specific scholarship application. AU’s general Natural Sciences scheme for active fee-paying Master’s programmes offers a limited number of competitive 100% tuition-fee waivers, assessed automatically with admission applications.
