Sweden Visiting Family and Friends Visa from Bangladesh

Schengen short-stay visa for visiting family, friends, and close personal contacts in Sweden.

    Last Updated: 30 August 2026

The Sweden Visiting Family and Friends Visa is a Schengen short-stay visa for Bangladeshi applicants travelling to Sweden to visit family members, friends, or close personal contacts. It generally allows a stay of up to 90 days within any 180-day period.

You should apply under this category only if Sweden is your main destination, or the country where you will spend the longest part of your Schengen trip. If another Schengen country is your main destination, the application should normally be submitted through that country instead.

    Step 3

    Arrange Invitation & Host Documents

Collect the completed invitation form from the host, along with host ID, civic or family registration, and sponsorship documents where applicable.

    Step 4

    Prepare Applicant Documents

Arrange the applicant’s passport, photos, cover letter, occupation proof, financial documents, itinerary, accommodation details, and insurance. Translate documents where required.

    Step 5

Attend the appointment in person to submit your application and passport, provide biometric information, and complete the required visa, VFS, and selected service payments.
