    Last Updated: 30 August 2026

The South Africa Training Visa is a Short Term Visitor’s Visa for Bangladeshi nationals and eligible residents travelling to South Africa for temporary training. This category is only for travellers who are not being paid for work by an entity in South Africa. Paid work requires the appropriate work visa or immigration authorisation.

Applications from Bangladesh are handled by the South African High Commission in New Delhi and must be submitted through VFS Global New Delhi. A prior VFS appointment is currently not required.

    Process Roadmap

    Step 1

    Confirm the Training Category

Confirm whether the visit is for a genuine temporary training where the applicant will not be paid for work by an entity in South Africa. Paid work requires the appropriate work visa or immigration authorisation.

    Step 2

    Complete DHA-84 Accurately

Complete Form 11 (DHA-84) in black ink and block letters. Check that the training purpose, travel dates, South African address and funding details match the supporting documents.

    Step 3

    Establish the Training Arrangement

Obtain the South African training invitation and the employer/company introduction letter. The documents should identify the applicant clearly and present a consistent training purpose, duration and host arrangement.

    Step 4

Organise Funds, Qualifications & Travel Evidence

Prepare the required bank evidence, funding records, educational qualifications, flight reservation and accommodation. Add any category-specific documents, including pilot-training approvals where applicable.

    Step 5

    Follow the Bangladesh Submission Process

Bangladeshi applicants must submit their South Africa visa applications through VFS Global New Delhi, under the jurisdiction of the South African High Commission in New Delhi.

    Step 6

Pay Fees & Lodge the Application

A prior VFS appointment is currently not required. Submit the complete file at VFS New Delhi and pay the applicable visa and VFS charges through the prescribed process.

    Step 7

Track the Application & Check the Visa

Use the VFS reference to follow available updates. After passport return, verify the visa details and conditions before travelling for the planned training.
