Process Roadmap
Step 1
Define the Short-Term Project Clearly
Confirm that the assignment is a specific, time-limited project activity suitable for short-term work authorisation under section 11(2). The requested period should match the actual project need and should not represent ongoing regular employment.
Step 2
Build a Consistent Project Evidence Chain
Set out the exact project dates, work location, duties, host company, reason the applicant is required, and remuneration or stipend. These details should remain consistent across the employer letter, South African host letter, CV and supporting project records.
Step 3
Complete DHA-84 & Applicant Statement
Complete Form 11 (DHA-84) in black ink and block letters, then prepare the applicant cover letter so the project purpose, travel dates, accommodation, funding and contact details match the supporting file.
Step 4
Assemble Host, Company & Supporting Evidence
Obtain the host and company records, together with the required financial, travel, accommodation and residence evidence.
Step 5
Prepare for VFS New Delhi Submission
Bangladeshi applicants must submit their South Africa visa applications through VFS Global New Delhi, under the jurisdiction of the South African High Commission in New Delhi.
Step 6
Pay Fees & Submit the Application
Applicants may submit the complete application directly at VFS New Delhi without prior appointment and pay the applicable visa and VFS charges during the submission process.
Step 7
Check the Visa Conditions Before Travel
Track the application using the VFS reference. Once the passport is returned, verify the visa validity and authorised activity before travel.
