South Africa Corporate Work Visa from Bangladesh
Long Term Work Visa for foreign workers individually authorised under a South African employer’s valid Corporate Visa.

Document Checklist
- Passport (Original): Original passport valid for at least 30 days after the intended date of departure from South Africa, with at least two unused/blank visa pages. Submit the current passport together with the required copies.
- Previous Passport(s) & Travel History: Full clear copies of previous passports, including relevant visa and immigration pages, where available. Travel history should be disclosed consistently with the application and supporting records.
- Photograph (South Africa Visa Format): Provide 1 recent colour passport photograph, 35mm x 45mm, taken within the last 30 days against a plain white background and meeting the current South Africa VFS photo specifications.
- DHA-1738 Visa Application Form: Fully completed Form DHA-1738 in black ink and block letters, signed by the applicant with details consistent with the passport and supporting documents.
- Employer’s Corporate Visa / Permit: Copy of the valid South African Corporate Visa or Corporate Permit held by the employing corporate entity and covering the authorised foreign-worker allocation relevant to the application.
- Corporate Worker Authorisation Certificate: The Corporate Worker Authorisation Certificate issued in the applicant’s name. This is a core worker-specific document linking the applicant to the employer’s approved Corporate Visa.
- Attested ID of Company Signatory: Provide the attested identification document of the authorised South African company representative who signs the relevant employment, undertaking, or supporting letter.
- Employment Contract: Valid employment contract accepted and signed by the employee, clearly stating the authorised position, employment terms, remuneration and period of employment under the corporate-worker arrangement.
- South African Company Undertaking & Repatriation Letter: Written undertaking from the South African corporate employer covering compliance with the authorised position and visa conditions, together with responsibility for return or deportation-related costs where required.
- Qualifications / SAQA Evidence: Provide attested copy of relevant qualification evidence supporting the authorised position. The current New Delhi checklist notes that an attested SAQA letter may not be mandatory where the applicant already holds the Department of Home Affairs Corporate Worker Authorisation Certificate; provide SAQA evidence where required.
- CV: Current curriculum vitae presenting the applicant’s education, skills and employment background consistently with the authorised corporate-worker position and supporting records.
- Experience & Relieving Letters: Attested employment, experience, service or relieving letters supporting the applicant’s relevant work history and suitability for the authorised position.
- Police Clearance Certificate: Applicants aged 18 or over should provide police clearance certificates for the countries required under the current Relative Visa requirements, including countries where the applicant has resided for 12 months or longer since turning 18.
- Personal Bank Statements & Solvency Certificate: Original bank statements (personal and/or salary account) for the last 6 months, issued by the bank and showing the bank name and contact details. Statements must be stamped and signed by an authorized bank officer (e-statements not accepted), and accompanied by a bank solvency/financial standing certificate where required.
- Financial Evidence & Cost Responsibility: Provide bank evidence for the person or company bearing the applicant’s expenses, with the covering or employer letter clearly stating that responsibility. South African bank statements should be attested by South African bank and South African Police Service.
- Proof of Legal Residence in Bangladesh (where applicable): Applicants who are not Bangladeshi nationals should provide evidence of lawful residence in Bangladesh.
- Medical Report: Submit the prescribed medical report in original. The medical report should reflect the applicant’s general state of health and meet the current validity requirements.
Process Roadmap
Step 1
Confirm the Employer’s Corporate Visa
Verify that the South African corporate entity holds a valid Corporate Visa and has an approved foreign-worker allocation covering the intended position.
Step 2
Confirm the Worker Authorisation
Obtain the Corporate Worker Authorisation Certificate in the applicant’s name and check that the employer, position and validity align with the corporate approval.
Step 3
Complete DHA-1738 Consistently
Complete DHA-1738 in black ink and make sure the personal details, employer, position and employment period match the worker authorisation and contract.
Step 4
Align Employment, Skills & Company Records
Prepare the employment contract, qualification or SAQA evidence, CV, experience records, signatory ID and company documents as required for the authorised role.
Step 5
Prepare Funding, Clearance & Undertakings
Add the applicable financial evidence, police clearance, legal-residence records and the South African employer’s compliance and repatriation undertakings.
Step 6
Lodge the Application at VFS New Delhi
A prior appointment is currently not required. Submit the complete file at VFS New Delhi and pay the applicable visa and VFS charges through the prescribed process.
Step 7
Track the Case & Check Worker Conditions
Follow available VFS updates and, after passport return, check the visa details and conditions before commencing employment in South Africa.
