Process Roadmap
Step 1
Confirm Luxembourg as the Correct Visit Destination
Review the full Schengen route and confirm that Luxembourg is the sole destination, the longest-stay country, or the location of the main private-visit purpose. For eligible stays of up to 90 days, a Schengen short-stay visa (Type C) is generally used.
Step 2
Complete the Application Form
Complete the Schengen application form accurately and keep the details aligned with the passport, host invitation, travel dates, accommodation, funding arrangements, and supporting documents.
Step 3
Collect Invitation & Host Evidence
Obtain the original host invitation form, identity or residence documents, Luxembourg address evidence, relationship proof, and sponsorship records or approved formal obligation where relevant.
Step 4
Prepare Applicant Documents
Arrange the applicant's passport, photographs, cover letter, occupation and financial evidence, itinerary, civil-status records, minor documents where applicable, and travel insurance. Provide translations where required.
Step 5
Book Appointment at Visa Application Centre
Book a submission appointment with the Sweden Visa Application Centre in Dhaka, which receives Luxembourg short-stay applications under Sweden's representation. Keep the confirmation and organize the file in A4 format.
Step 6
Submit the File and Biometrics
Attend the appointment in person, submit the application and passport, provide biometric information where required, and complete the applicable visa, VFS, and selected service payments.
Step 7
Track the Case and Check the Visa
Use the VFS reference details to follow the application and respond promptly if the authority requests further information. After passport return, verify the personal data, validity, entries, and permitted stay before travel.
