Process Roadmap
Step 1
Verify Luxembourg as the Main Destination
Assess the full Schengen journey, compare the planned nights in each country, and identify where the central tourism activity will take place. Luxembourg must be the correct Member State responsible for the application.
Step 2
Shape a Coherent Itinerary and Budget
Build a realistic day-by-day plan covering arrival, accommodation, places of interest, local transport, any onward travel, and departure. The proposed activities and trip cost should be reasonable for the duration requested.
Step 3
Align the Form and Travel Explanation
Complete the visa form and prepare the cover letter as one consistent travel narrative. Dates, passport information, employment details, funding, hotel bookings, and the itinerary should support the same plan.
Step 4
Organize Financial and Return Evidence
Compile recent bank records, income and tax documents, occupation or business evidence, approved leave, civil status papers, and Schengen insurance.
Step 5
Book the Luxembourg Submission Appointment
Schedule the appointment through the Sweden Visa Application Centre in Dhaka under the representation arrangement for Luxembourg. Retain the appointment confirmation and arrange the documents in the required order and format.
Step 6
Submit the File and Complete Biometrics
Appear at the centre with the passport and complete supporting file. Lodge the application, pay the applicable visa and VFS charges, and provide fingerprints and a photograph unless a biometric exemption applies.
Step 7
Track, Collect, and Check the Visa
Use the VFS reference details to follow the application. After the passport is returned, collect it or use the selected courier option. If the visa is granted, check the personal details, validity, number of entries, and authorised stay before departure.
