Process Roadmap
Step 1
Verify Latvia as the Main Destination
Review the complete Schengen route, count the nights in each country, and identify the main tourism purpose. Latvia should be the principal destination, the longest-stay country, or the country connected to the central purpose of the trip.
Step 2
Shape a Coherent Itinerary and Budget
Create a practical day-wise route covering arrival, places to visit, accommodation, local movement, and departure. Match the proposed schedule with a reasonable trip budget before finalizing reservations.
Step 3
Align the Form and Travel Explanation
Complete the Schengen visa application form and prepare a concise cover letter. Passport details, travel dates, employment information, funding source, hotels, and the itinerary should remain consistent throughout the file.
Step 4
Organize Financial and Return Evidence
Arrange bank statements, income and tax records, employment or business proof, approved leave, civil documents, and insurance.
Step 5
Book the Latvia Submission Appointment
Book an appointment through the Sweden Visa Application Centre in Dhaka, which receives Latvia short-stay applications under the representation arrangement. Keep the confirmation and organize the documents in the required order and format.
Step 6
Submit the File and Complete Biometrics
Attend the appointment in person with the passport and supporting documents. Submit the application, pay the applicable visa and VFS charges, and provide fingerprints and a photograph where biometric enrolment is required.
Step 7
Track, Collect, and Check the Visa
Track the application using the VFS reference number. Once the passport is returned, collect it or receive it through the selected courier service. If a visa is issued, verify the name, validity dates, entries, and permitted stay before travel.
