    Latvia Business Visa from Bangladesh

Schengen short-stay visa for business visit to Latvia.

    Last Updated: 30 August 2026

The Latvia Business Visa is a Schengen short-stay visa for Bangladeshi applicants travelling to Latvia for business meetings, conferences, trade fairs, company visits, negotiations, or other temporary professional engagements. It generally permits stays of up to 90 days within any 180-day period.

Apply under Latvia only when Latvia is the principal destination, the location of the main business activity, or the country where you will spend the longest part of the Schengen trip. In Bangladesh, Sweden represents Latvia for short-stay Schengen visa matters, and applications are lodged through the Sweden Visa Application Centre in Dhaka. This visa supports temporary business activity and does not normally allow local employment or entry into Latvia's labour market.

    Process Roadmap

    Step 1

Verify Latvia as the Main Destination

Review the full Schengen itinerary and confirm that Latvia hosts the main business activity, the primary purpose of travel, or the longest stay. A Type C Schengen visa is generally used for eligible business visits of up to 90 days.

    Step 2

Align the Form with the Business Case

Complete the Schengen visa application form carefully. Passport details, travel dates, host information, funding arrangements, accommodation, and the stated professional purpose should remain consistent across the file.

    Step 3

    Obtain the Latvian Invitation Evidence

Obtain the invitation from the Latvian company, organization, conference, or event host. Include the meeting plan, contact person, and cost responsibility required for the case.

    Step 4

    Demonstrate the Commercial Link

Arrange contracts, invoices, purchase orders, correspondence, event registration, company profiles, or agenda documents that show the relationship between the applicant, the Bangladesh-based organization, and the Latvian host.

    Step 5

Book Appointment at Visa Application Centre

Book a submission appointment at the Sweden Visa Application Centre in Dhaka, which receives Latvia short-stay visa applications. Keep the appointment confirmation and prepare the file in A4 format.

    Step 6

Lodge the File and Complete Biometrics

Attend the appointment in person to submit the application and passport, provide biometric information, and pay the applicable visa, VFS, and selected service charges.

    Step 7

Follow the Decision and Inspect the Visa

Track the application through VFS and respond promptly if further information is requested. After a decision, collect the passport or receive it by courier if selected, and review the visa details before travel.
