Process Roadmap
Step 1
Confirm the Visit Tourist Category
For a holiday or leisure trip of up to 90 days, select “Short Stay (C)” in AVATS and choose “Visit Tourist” as the reason for travel. Select single or multiple entry only as appropriate.
Step 2
Complete AVATS & Print the Summary
Complete AVATS accurately, note the Visa Application Transaction Number, then print, sign, and date the application summary sheets. Supporting documents should normally be submitted within 30 days of creating the AVATS application.
Step 3
Build a Credible Holiday Plan
Prepare a clear Ireland itinerary showing travel dates, intended places to visit, accommodation, and the overall holiday plan. Keep the information practical and consistent across the application.
Step 4
Prepare Finances & Return Evidence
Arrange recent financial evidence together with employment, business, study, family, or property documents that support the trip and demonstrate strong obligations to return to your country of residence.
Step 5
Follow the Bangladesh Submission Route
Use the submission instructions generated through AVATS. Bangladesh residents may be directed to send the file to the Embassy of Ireland in New Delhi by post or lodge it by appointment at the Ireland Visa Application Centre in Kolkata.
Step 6
Pay the Fee & Lodge the Application
Submit the signed AVATS summary, passport, original supporting documents, required copies, and applicable visa fee. For direct Embassy submission, arrange the visa fee in advance by bank draft in Indian rupees, made payable to the Embassy of Ireland. For VFS submission, complete the applicable visa and VFS payments through the prescribed VFS process.
Step 7
Track the Case & Check the Visa
Follow available updates using the relevant application or VFS reference number. After processing, collect the returned passport and check the visa details before travel.
