    Ireland Training Visa from Bangladesh

Short Stay C visa for company-to-company work or professional development training in Ireland.

    Last Updated: 30 August 2026

The Ireland Training Visa is a Short Stay C visa for Bangladeshi nationals and eligible residents of Bangladesh travelling to Ireland for a work-related or professional development training course of up to 90 days. The training must be arranged on a company-to-company basis by an employer or organisation the applicant belongs to.

This visa is for training only and does not permit paid or unpaid work. Applications from Bangladesh fall under the New Delhi Visa Office. After completing AVATS, applicants print and sign the summary form and follow its submission instructions. The file may be sent to the Embassy of Ireland in New Delhi by post or lodged by appointment at the Ireland Visa Application Centre in Kolkata.

    Document Checklist

    1. Passport (Original): Original passport valid for at least 6 months after the intended date of departure from Ireland, with sufficient blank space for the visa. Submit the current passport together with the required copies.
    2. Previous Passport(s) & Travel History: Full clear copies of previous passports, including relevant visa and immigration pages, where available. Travel history should be disclosed consistently with the AVATS application.
    3. Photograph (Ireland Visa Format): Provide 2 recent colour passport photographs that meet Ireland visa photograph requirements. Sign your name and write the AVATS Visa Application Transaction Number on the back of each photograph.
    4. AVATS Application Summary Sheets: Printed AVATS summary sheets completed for the applicant, signed and dated. Keep the Visa Application Transaction Number and submit the summary sheets with the passport and supporting documents.
    5. Cover Letter: Applicant’s signed letter explaining the training purpose, intended travel dates, estimated trip and course costs, accommodation and funding arrangements, and commitment to follow the visa conditions and leave Ireland before the permitted stay expires.
    6. Employer / Sponsor & Training Company Letters: Official letters from the applicant’s employer or sponsoring organisation and the company delivering the training, confirming the course subject and activities, training dates, how the course relates to the applicant’s work or organisational role, attendance, expected return to work where applicable, and who will pay the training, travel, accommodation, and living costs.
    7. Flight Reservation: Provisional flight itinerary/reservation showing the intended travel dates, consistent with the application. Applicants should avoid purchasing non-refundable travel tickets before a visa decision.
    8. Hotel Reservation / Accommodation Booking: Booking confirmation covering the intended stay dates, showing the applicant name, accommodation name/address, check-in/out dates, and booking reference; consistent with the travel plan.
    9. Proof of Occupation: Documents confirming current professional, study, family, business, or property ties to the country of residence. For employed applicants, this commonly includes 3 recent payslips and an employer letter confirming leave and return to work.
    10. Personal Bank Statements & Solvency Certificate: Original bank statements (personal and/or salary account) for the last 6 months, issued by the bank and showing the bank name and contact details. Statements must be stamped and signed by an authorized bank officer (e-statements not accepted), and accompanied by a bank solvency/financial standing certificate where required.
    11. Personal TIN & ITR: Copy of the personal TIN certificate and Income Tax Return (ITR) for the last 3 tax years, along with the acknowledgement receipts.
    12. Proof of Legal Residence in Bangladesh (where applicable): Applicants who are not Bangladeshi nationals should provide evidence of lawful residence in Bangladesh and normally show permission to remain for at least 3 months after the intended departure date from Ireland.
    13. Civil Status Documents: Marriage certificate, divorce certificate, death certificate, birth certificate, or family-related documents where applicable, especially when travelling with spouse or children.
    14. Minor Applicant Documents: For minors, provide birth certificate, parental consent, parent/legal guardian identification, proof of economic means of parents/legal guardian, and custody or guardianship documents where applicable.
    15. Travel / Medical Insurance: Evidence of insurance is not normally required with the initial training visa application unless requested by the Visa Officer. If the visa is approved, appropriate travel/medical insurance must be in place before travel and may be requested at the Irish port of entry.

    Process Roadmap

    Step 1

    Confirm the Training Category

Check that the course is for work or professional development, lasts no more than 90 days, and is arranged on a company-to-company basis by your employer or an organisation you belong to. This category does not permit work.

    Step 2

    Complete AVATS for Training

Complete AVATS accurately, select “Short Stay (C)” and “Training”, note the Visa Application Transaction Number, then print, sign, and date the summary sheets. Supporting documents should normally be sent within 30 days of creating the application.

    Step 3

    Secure Both Training Letters

Obtain the employer or sponsoring-organisation letter and the training-company invitation. Make sure the course content, dates, work relevance, cost responsibility, and return-to-work information are clear and consistent.

    Step 4

Prepare Funding, Travel & Supporting Evidence

Provide accommodation, financial and travel evidence, return commitments, required translations, residence records, previous refusal documents, and other applicable supporting evidence, keeping the full application consistent.

    Step 5

    Follow the Submission Instructions

Follow the AVATS directions. Bangladesh residents may submit by post to the Embassy of Ireland in New Delhi or by appointment at the Ireland Visa Application Centre in Kolkata.

    Step 6

Pay Fees & Submit the File

Submit the signed AVATS summary, passport, supporting documents, required copies, and applicable fees. Embassy submissions require a bank draft in Indian rupees; VFS submissions follow the prescribed VFS payment process.

    Step 7

Follow the Decision & Travel Conditions

Track the application using the available reference details. If approved, arrange travel/medical insurance, check the visa, and carry key training documents when travelling.
