Process Roadmap
Step 1
Confirm the Business Route Fits
Use “Short Stay (C)” with “Business” in AVATS for business activities of up to 90 days, including meetings, negotiations, contracts, or one permitted work period of 14 days or less. Longer or repeated work normally requires a different route.
Step 2
Complete AVATS & Record the Reference
Complete AVATS accurately, note the Visa Application Transaction Number, then print, sign, and date the summary sheets. Supporting documents should normally reach the visa office within 30 days of creating the AVATS application.
Step 3
Secure the Irish Business Invitation
Obtain an invitation from the Irish customer, supplier, company, or organisation explaining the business purpose, visit dates, existing relationship, and any costs the host will cover. Include relevant business correspondence where appropriate.
Step 4
Align Employment, Funding & Return Evidence
Prepare employer or self-employment evidence, recent personal financial records, and documents showing the reason to return to your country of residence. Funding arrangements should be clear and consistent with the invitation and travel plan.
Step 5
Follow the Bangladesh Submission Route
Follow the submission instructions generated through AVATS. Bangladesh residents may be directed to send the application to the Embassy of Ireland in New Delhi by post or lodge it by appointment at the Ireland Visa Application Centre in Kolkata.
Step 6
Lodge the File & Applicable Visa Fee
Submit the signed AVATS summary, passport, supporting documents, required copies, and applicable fee. For direct Embassy submission, arrange the visa fee in advance by bank draft in Indian rupees, made payable to the Embassy of Ireland. For VFS submission, complete the applicable visa and VFS payments through the prescribed VFS process.
Step 7
Follow the Decision & Check the Visa
Use the relevant application or VFS reference for available updates. After processing, collect the returned passport and check the visa details before travel.
