    Iceland Tourist Visa from Bangladesh

Schengen short-stay visa for tourism, sightseeing, holidays, and leisure travel to Iceland.

    Last Updated: 30 August 2026

The Iceland Tourist Visa is a Schengen short-stay visa for Bangladeshi applicants planning a temporary visit to Iceland for tourism, sightseeing, holidays, or leisure travel. It generally allows a stay of up to 90 days within any 180-day period.

You should apply under Iceland only when Iceland is your main destination, the country where you will stay the longest, or the main purpose of your Schengen trip. In Bangladesh, Iceland short-stay visa applications are submitted through the Sweden Visa Application Centre in Dhaka, as Sweden represents Iceland for Schengen visa matters.

    Process Roadmap

    Step 1

Confirm Iceland as the Main Destination

Review the full Schengen travel plan and confirm that Iceland is the main destination, longest-stay country, or central purpose of travel. For tourism or leisure visits up to 90 days, the Schengen short-stay visa (Type C) is generally used.

    Step 2

    Complete the Application Form

Prepare the Schengen visa application form carefully, keeping the travel purpose, passport details, itinerary, hotel bookings, financial proof, and supporting documents fully consistent.

    Step 3

    Prepare a Practical Iceland Itinerary

Create a clear travel plan covering Iceland travel dates, planned cities or areas, sightseeing schedule, accommodation, and any onward Schengen movement. The itinerary should be realistic for the requested stay.

    Step 4

    Organize Financial and Return Evidence

Arrange recent bank statements, income records, occupation documents, leave approval, business or tax papers, civil status documents, and insurance to support the trip purpose and return plan.

    Step 5

Book Appointment at Visa Application Centre

Book a submission appointment at the Sweden Visa Application Centre in Dhaka, which receives Iceland short-stay visa applications under the representation arrangement. Keep the confirmation and prepare all documents in A4 format.

    Step 6

    Submit Application and Provide Biometrics

Attend the appointment in person to submit the application and passport, provide biometric information where required, and complete the applicable visa, VFS, and selected service payments.

    Step 7

Track Application and Verify Visa Details

Track the application through VFS using the reference number. After a decision, collect the passport or receive it by courier if selected, and review the visa details carefully before travel.
