    Finland Tourist Visa from Bangladesh

Schengen short-stay visa for tourism, holidays, and leisure travel to Finland.

    Last Updated: 30 August 2026

The Finland Tourist Visa is a Schengen short-stay visa for Bangladeshi applicants planning a temporary visit to Finland for tourism, holidays, sightseeing, or leisure. It generally allows a stay of up to 90 days within any 180-day period.

You should apply under Finland only when Finland is your main destination or the country where you will stay the longest. In Bangladesh, Finland short-stay visa applications are submitted through the Sweden Visa Application Centre in Dhaka, as Sweden represents Finland for Schengen visa matters.

    Process Roadmap

    Step 1

    Confirm Finland as Main Destination

Check whether Finland is the main country of stay, or the main purpose of your Schengen trip. For tourism or leisure travel up to 90 days, the Schengen short-stay visa (Type C) is generally required.

    Step 2

    Complete the Application Form

Prepare the Schengen visa application form carefully, keeping all details aligned with the passport, travel dates, itinerary, financial records, and accommodation documents.

    Step 3

    Build Your Travel Plan

Prepare a day-wise Finland travel plan with flight reservations, hotel bookings, and any onward travel details. The itinerary should be realistic and consistent throughout the file.

    Step 4

    Arrange Financial and Occupation Proof

Collect recent bank statements, income records, employment or business documents, leave approval, tax papers, and insurance to support the purpose of travel and return plan.

    Step 5

Book Appointment at Visa Application Centre

Book a submission appointment at the Sweden Visa Application Centre in Dhaka, which receives Finland short-stay visa applications. Keep the confirmation and arrange all papers in A4 format.

    Step 6

    Submit Application & Provide Biometrics

Attend the appointment in person to submit the application and passport, provide biometric information, and complete the applicable visa, VFS, and selected service payments.

    Step 7

    Track Application & Verify Visa

Track the application through VFS using the reference number. After a decision, collect the passport or receive it by courier if selected, and check the visa details before travel.
